Well, that was great - a high-quality Essex launch of our anthology #Port at @redlionbooks #Colchester last night. Thanks to our contributors #petramcqueen @languishingpoet and @cleanersfromvenus who all read brilliantly and evocatively. Even when you've spent so much time with words on paper, it can be a revelation on hearing them be brought to life. Thanks to Peter and Jo at Red Lion Books for hosting us, and to everyone who came and listened. Next stop for Port... Join us at @redlionbooks in Colchester for our PORT book launch on Wednesday 4th December at 6.30 pm with readings and refreshments. More than places where ships load and unload, ports are points of departure and arrival, places where ‘here’ contacts ‘there’, and where known and unknown meet. Port brings together a selection of prose and poetry about harbours and havens all across the UK and beyond, ranging from giant container ports to fishing quays in remote locations.
