New Pamphlets: Call for Submissions

In 2024 Dunlin Press will publish a small series of four pamphlets, focusing on experimental texts and avant-garde writing to be published throughout the year.

We are looking to publish pamphlets of around 20 x A5 pages of text/poems. We are interested in experimental texts and writing that might be considered avant-garde, including poetry, prose-poetry and other literary forms.

What are we looking for?

We like writing that explores the possibility of writing. We like modernism, postmodernism and reflexive modernity. We like L=A=N=G=U=A=G=E poetry and the New York School. We like Ninth Street Women. We like Charles Ives and Alice Coltrane. We like Bob Cobbing, Wendy Mulford and Tom Raworth.

We are keen to avoid standard lyric poetry and work that focuses primarily on topics such as family, landscape, nature that are well covered elsewhere. At Dunlin Press, we never aim for mainstream success.

As a small publisher founded by people of working class and immigrant backgrounds, we welcome submission by diverse and under-represented voices. But we also do not believe that, for example, a working-class writer should feel they have to write about being working class, or that a writer with a disability should have to write about disability.

When can I submit?

Submissions are open now and deadline for entries is 29th January 2024.
